A traffic note for Anderson drivers: The 8th Street Bridge will be closed from 9:00am to 4:00pm beginning today and continuing through Friday. Work crews plan to set beams on the south bridge starting on the east end and working their way west, completing a span of three beams each day.

A revived Madison County needle exchange program is showing positive results. It has collected nearly twice as many used needles as the number of clean needles it’s distributed.Â The county’s needle exchange resumed in July after commissioners approved a contract with Aspire Indiana to manage it for two years.
